About Me

Amonia E. Odu is a Learning & Development Specialist and HR Management professional with 15 years of experience in industries such as Education, Oil and Gas. He is a highly goal focused, creative individual with extraordinary leadership skills. He started his career as an entrepreneur in 2001, immediately after his graduation and later Join Ministry of Education in 2006. He moved on to become an IT professional in 2008. In order for him to pursue his passion for learning and development he moved to L & D function in 2009 as a Soft Skills and IT trainer.

 

He started his journey in Learning and Development by training OTS personnel in functional skills and pre-employment assessment for oil and gas industry. Where he was responsible for enhancing the employability of OTS personnel by imparting assessment and training on organization specific requirement.  He also designed the basic functional skills Development Program for semi skill personnel with deficiency in Literacy & Numeracy.

 

Later he worked as the GDS workshop trainer and Data analyst for OTS Vehicle workshop personnel .Where he played a pivot role in knowledge transfer of new and existing technical developments especially on the GDS workshop Software from the OEM to technical staff.

 

Currently he is the Training Coordinator/Head of Training with a maintenance service provider company  working in NLNG plant complex , where he Supervises eight (8)on the job trainers(OJT) and Assessors in conducting  competency assessment and competency Based training programmes  with over 1,000 employees.

 

His core competencies are Managing entire training function of an organization. Analyze, Design, Develop, and Implement and evaluate the training programs. He is adept at Instructional design, competency assessments, competency mapping and On the Job training (OJT) and assessment etc.
