Roles and Responsibilities

I. Primary Responsibilities:

Complete responsibility for all training and learning activities and vested with authority commensurate at the vertical level in accordance with policies and controls.

II. Essential Functions:

  • Plan, organize, coordinate and direct training and learning activities at management,

Clinical, supervisory & entry levels in the vertical.

  • Consult with Managers / HODs to determine training needs and requirements, training policies and procedures.
  • Research, select & organize training programs based on the training requirements and the benefit that it can yield for the vertical
  • Conduct training sessions and obtain the services and assistance of training specialists when

Courses and training procedures are of a specialized or advanced nature.

  • Develops, writes and coordinates training manuals working with specialists for specific details.

The training manuals should include: course content, visual charts, videotapes, slides, etc. Prepares training videotapes and/or films and maintains library of video and film training aids.

  • Coordinates with resources in the vertical & schedules training sessions within individual training programs ensuring facility setup, audio-visual setup and employee notification.
  • Coordinate with the departmental heads to understand the functional training requirements of the departments and address the gaps using the departmental learning coordinators & unit training resources in the vertical
  • Consult with management to identify business/departmental performance gaps in the vertical and develops a robust training program to address the gaps.
  • Identify the departmental learning coordinators using the unit training resources assistance and train the learning coordinators through TTT programs & certify them on the training skillsets in accordance with functional head of the region.
  • Maintains the training database of the records & data pertaining to the training sessions planned & executed. Prepares the Monthly MIS pertaining to vertical and presents to the vertical heads on the training interventions interventions identified, addressed & gaps that still prevail.
  • Focusses on the Behavioral, Emotional & softskill training of the employees in the vertical and develop annual calendars addressing the need.
  • Participate in analysis studies with managers to evaluate and determine the effectiveness of the training programs at the units in the vertical. Closely in coordination with the regional head.
  • Performing Random audits on the learning programs at the units which comes under the vertical.
  • Engage admin employees, doctors, nurses, paramedics and managers of the vertical in the vision of the learning organization.
  • Develops the Annual Budget for the vertical in consultation with the Head of the Business Vertical & Functional Head of the region.
  • Maintain fiscal responsibility by adhering to budget requirements.
  • Ensure learning options are cost effective, meet business needs, and appropriately utilize available resources.
  • Ensures that the engagement functions are been driven as per the regional & corporate directives.
  • Closely tracks the effectiveness index of the employees and develops plans to enhance the satisfaction levels or sustain the levels in consultation with the functional head.
  • Develop competency-based models to align job-specific competencies with corporate competencies for job mapping, skill patching, performance management, and succession planning in the vertical.
  • Anticipate and put training plans in place to address future business needs or potential issues/gaps.
  • Manage the units in the absence of the resource and ensure that the learning activities in the unit is not compromised.
  • Assist the units in the vertical during their Accreditations & Assessments and help the unit resources to address the gaps or non-compliance areas.
  • Adheres to the changes that are been made on the job requirements by the organization.
  • Special project work as and when required.
