An excellent opportunity with Medicover! We are looking for a Payroll specialist to join our HR department and administer our employee compensation.
Payroll specialist responsibilities include calculating employees compensation, updating our internal payroll databases and ensuring timely payments. To be successful in this role, you should have a flair for numbers and be able to handle sensitive information.
Role & responsibilities
Reviews and monitors the payroll summary reports for accuracy and compliance to process. Supervision of statutory compliances under various laws as applicable.
Collect daily, weekly or monthly timesheets.
Calculate bonuses and allowances.
Prepare employees compensation by the end of each month using payroll software.
Preferred candidate profile
Proven work experience as a Payroll Officer, Payroll Clerk or similar role
Strong knowledge on PF/ESIC
Hands-on experience with HRIS and accounting software
Strong math skills with an ability to spot numerical errors.
Time-management skills
Ability to handle confidential information.

Process payroll for employees in the organisation
Maintain personnel database regarding salaries
Administration of compensation and benefits to ensure they are in line with company policies and legislation.
Guarantee that any of the organization’s benefit programs such as bonuses, pensions or medical care are handled effectively and efficiently
Maintain the human resource information system and employee database on payroll.
Should have understanding on the HR compliance mandated by governing local laws
Work with company database programs to process payroll
Prepare reports to relevant departments about payroll, company budget and expense.
Responsible for statutory laws affecting Indian Payroll viz. PF, ESIC, PT, LWF, Minimum Wages, Shop Act etc.
Collaborate and monitor implementation of standards and regulations per compliances post approval with Head HR – India followed by Corporate HR team.
Responsible for updating the records on FTP folder, monitoring to update employee file post performance reviews/ exit formalities/ any other addition to be done during employee life cycle.
Address and resolve employee complaints relating to the payroll system.
Maintain all registers mandated by governing local laws.
Identify and mitigate possible HR compliance risks.
Additional task as assigned by upper management, depending on the growth of the HR team.
Requirements
Associate's or bachelor's degree in business or accounting preferred
Proven experience in a payroll position in a fast-paced environment required
Strong knowledge of tax and wage laws
Good understanding of the common financial procedures, Good command on statutory compliances
Minimum 4+ years’ experience in HR function with an experience in statutory and compliance requirement.
Excellent communication skills, Hands on experience on MS Office specially spreadsheets
Candidate should be proactive, hunger to excel, able to work with minimal supervision as well as connect with the Company’s culture, fast paced, etc.

Roles & Responsibilities :
The candidate must be flexible and able to multitask across a variety of job duties, including:
• Responsible for collating Payroll processing (Inputs) and coordinate with the payroll vendor for timely processing of payroll.
• Process new hires and leavers payroll accurately in accordance with state rules and laws.
• Maintaining and updating employee’s database, salary structure & attendance in payroll software.
• Calculating overtime & Extra hours.
• Taking care of payroll-related statutory like PF, ESIC, PT, LWF, bonus & Gratuity.
