    Roles and Responsibilities

    You will get the opportunity to manage the various facets of the Payroll department for SME clients operating in the UK.

    Job Description:

    • Processing Weekly, Fortnightly, 4 Weekly and Monthly Payroll for clients based in UK
    • Inputting timesheets submitted by employees / workers, into the payroll application.
    • Calculate any tax or national insurance deductions and pensions contributions.
    • Calculating and processing Statutory Pay such as Maternity pay, Paternity pay, Sick pay and Adoption pay and keeping track for these details updating clients on regular basis.
    • Calculating overtime, shift payments etc.
    • Ensuring that all outputs delivered to client meet the stringent standards set out in the SLA
    • Preparing Payment files
    • Issuing P45s , RTIs and year end forms
    • Liaise with line managers for missing information as required.

    Any other payroll duties as required by the company .

    Skills required:

    Should require minimal supervision to manage daily activities and be able to meet deadlines.

    • Should meet the productivity targets.
    • Adaptable to learn new processes, concepts and skills.
    • Be a team player by providing required inputs on time to enable the team to process the task efficiently.
    • Support supervisor with any Adhoc requests / any reporting requirements as and when necessary.
    • Excellent written and verbal English communication.
    • Sound knowledge of MS Excel is a must.

    Preferred Experience:

    • Candidates with experience of working for UK payroll process and having knowledge of payroll applications like Xero, Sage, Brightpay, Primo Payroll will be preferred.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    UK Payroll processing and Reviews -

    • Process end to end payrolls
    • Review payrolls processed by the junior team
    • Payroll query resolutions
    • Resolve payroll related queries raised by clients, employees & HMRC (Income tax authorities)
    • Payroll legislation know how
    • Statutory Sick Pay, Statutory Maternity Pay, PAYE, National Insurance, rates and thresholds, Attachment of Earnings, Earnings Attachment Orders, FPS, EPS, Payroll Year Ends, Minimum Wage rates, RTI
    • Workplace Pension Schemes Auto Enrolment of Pensions Should have worked on any of theses pension schemes - NEST, NOW, People's Pensions.

    Payroll Software Experience - Any one from the below list of the software -

    2. IRIS Payroll
    3. QuickBooks Payroll
    4. Xero Payroll,
    5. Money Soft Payroll

    Problem solving, Attention to detail, typing speed, MS Excel

    Key skill required is, being able to process end to end payroll and resolve payroll queries independently. Only suitable candidates with relevant experience can apply.

    1. Handling Payroll

    2. Assisting in Account Receivables

    3. Preparing and filling GST Returns i.e. GSTR-1. GSTR-3B, GSTR-9 and GSTR-9C

    4. Handling various compliance - STPI Compliance, Labour Law, etc.

    5. Assisting in various Audits i.e. Statutory Audit, Tax Audit, Internal Audits, etc.

    6. Preparation of e-invoicing
